Just Sugarcane - Simple lessons. By Wambura FN I sit here to while away the time and rest. I have been on my feet since arrival, doing this and that. And today I take a pause and just glide through the day, to just be and exist. This year has been some level of shit, but all has been good; I have loved, hurt, broke my heart, had others shred my heart into pieces, been kind, been stupid and I have procrastinated. Sigh! And this Corona ... we have all been impacted and future implications of this pandemic are still uncertain. All we can do for now is take all precautions. Learn to unlearn. Embrace the new normal. At least try. No idle sitting as soak in this afternoon sun. Oh my, this is what I miss, sitting out in the sun and allowing its rays hug me in a tight embrace. Such soothing warmth. I go grab a sugarcane. And just like that, am awakened. Weired! I take a deep look at the cane in my hand and contemplate life. I think deep and hard and, interest...
